Enrolments at Sholem

Thank you for considering Sholem Aleichem College for your child’s education. We look forward to welcoming you and your child into the Sholem Aleichem College family.

Sholem Aleichem College focuses on excellence in academia, and we cater to and care for the ‘whole child’. With a strong focus on student wellbeing, Sholem Aleichem College students leave us with a strong Jewish identity, and a deep sense of community and belonging.

To be offered a place at Sholem Aleichem College, several steps must be completed in accordance with the College’s Enrolment Policy.

The steps include:

  • Attend a tour of the College and meet the Principal
  • Complete and submit a Registration Form
  • Provide any relevant reports or supporting documentation (e.g. school reports, allied health professional reports, test results)
  • Attend a trial day
  • Receive an offer of enrolment
  • Confirm acceptance

    How to Enrol

    Enrolment at Sholem Aleichem College is a two-part process:

    Part 1: Enrolment Registration

    The first step in the enrolment process is to attend a tour of the College and meet with our Principal. Following this, you will be asked to complete a Registration Form (including supporting documentation) and pay a non-refundable registration fee of $100 per student. Once submitted, your child’s name will be placed on the list for consideration.

    You are also welcome to submit a Registration Form at any time after your child is born. While our main intake is at the Early Learning Centre (ELC) level, we accept enrolments across all year levels, subject to availability. Mid-year applications are also welcome.

    Upon receipt of the completed Registration Form and payment, the College will issue an acknowledgment and receipt. Please note that completing a Registration Form does not guarantee admission to Sholem Aleichem College.

    Part 2: Enrolment Application

    In the year prior to your child’s expected start date—or earlier, if applying for a mid-year entry—and subject to availability, families may receive an offer of enrolment. This second step in the process involves:

    • Submitting a completed Enrolment Application along with any required supporting documentation
    • Attending an interview with the Principal or Early Learning Centre (ELC) Director
    • Paying a non-refundable enrolment deposit and signing the Enrolment Agreement (The deposit will be deducted from your child’s first term fees upon commencing in Prep)

    Once the completed Enrolment Agreement is received, you will be issued with a receipt for your records. You will also be notified of the outcome of your Enrolment Application. If successful, the College will provide written confirmation.

    Once confirmed, your child’s enrolment at Sholem Aleichem College is continuous through to the end of Year 6 unless otherwise advised.
